Universal Pictures and Illumination presents the new official trailer for Despicable Me 4, the new chapter of the beloved franchise.

Universal Pictures has released the second official trailer for Despicable Me 4, the highly anticipated fourth chapter of the animated franchise created by Illumination in 2010. Directed by Chris Renaud and written by Mike White and Ken Daurio, the film will be available in Italian cinemas from August 22, 2024.


Plot and new trailer for Despicable Me 4

After saving the world numerous times, Gru and Lucy together with their three daughters (Margot, Edith, and Agnes) have started a family, with the birth of their first son Gru Jr. who does not look favorably on his father. However, when the famous supervillain Maxime Le Mal escapes from prison together with his partner Valentina and swears revenge on Gru, he is forced to escape with his family and go into hiding, hoping to find a way to stop this new enemy.

The original cast of Despicable Me 4 sees the return of Steve Carell (Gru), Kristen Wiig (Lucy Wilde), Will Ferrell (Maxime Le Mal), Sofía Vergara (Valentina), Miranda Cosgrove (Margot) and Stephen Coogan (Silas Caprachiappa). New characters feature the voices of Joey King (Bullet Train), Stephen Colbert, and Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live). In the Italian version, Max Giusti returns to lend his voice to Gru, as does the singer Arisa who is once again Lucy Wilde. The film was produced by Chris Meledandri and Brett Hoffman.
