Fan enthusiasm was fueled by a song on Swift's album, titled Clara Bow. According to some fans, the song's lyrics contain a reference to the mutant Dazzler, a character often associated with the singer. The lines “You look like Taylor Swift/In this light/We're loving it/You've got an edge, she never did/The future's bright/Dazzling” have led fans to speculate that Swift could play Dazzler in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Rumors about Swift's possible involvement in the MCU are not new.
