Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire arrives on screens soon: its release will mark the last release in the saga of the powerful MonsterVerse. The film will be a direct sequel to the film released in 2021, in which the two legendary creatures clashed without defining the supremacy of one over the other, but instead finding an agreement to protect planet Earth together from the threats of the great MonsterVerse. And if Godzilla vs Kong was an important visual experience, bringing great entertainment to the public as an addition to this universe of cine-comics so close to the printed and written page, the team created by the two gentle giants promises even more adrenaline!

In an interview with director Adam Wingard for Total Film, new revelations about the film were released to the public, accompanied by unpublished photos from the eagerly awaited film!

Godzilla x Kong, the new images offer a taste of the upcoming film

The two legendary monsters will unite to fight a terrible new threat that has its roots in Kong Island, as shown in the 2017 film starring Brie Larson. Rebecca Hall will appear again in the film, in the role of Dr. Ilene Andrews, linguist and expert on Kong, as well as Brian Tyree Henry who plays the role of Bernie Hayes, an Apex Cybernetics technician and podcaster.

We see a new arrival with the entry onto the scene of the young Dan Stevens in the role of Tracker, a specialist in the monsters we see in the films.

The new photos released by Total Film are truly surprising and contain a long list of Easter eggs, with references to the comics but also to previous films.

The film will be in Italian cinemas in April 2024. The director of Godzilla x Kong said: “One of the absurd things about Godzilla is that the character has gone through so many transformations, there are so many shades and interpretations of him in Toho films. I'm a huge fan of the entirety of the character's manifestations and have always appreciated the latter years Shōwa era. There are such great ideas and they had such epic fun with these unforgettable characters. In Godzilla x Kong, we paid homage to that epic tradition, including some Easter eggs for the hardcore fans, and while we don't want to give anything away, we have some things in the film for Toho fans, so you have to keep your eyes peeled!“.
