On the occasion of Prabhas’ 45th birthday on October 23, The Raja Saab team dropped a 2-minute motion poster. Goosebumps are guaranteed when you see this poster! It starts with a piano melody in a haunted jungle, a mysterious figure walks into an old palace. There, our Rebel star Prabhas, sitting on a throne with a cigar, salt-and-pepper hair, and looking directly at the camera in a royal look. The backdrop is a vintage palace, the faces on the throne are designed—oh, swag! 

The poster has the tagline—“Horror is the New Humor,” followed by “Happy Birthday, Rebel Saab.” As Telangana Today writes, this tagline confirms the horror-comedy vibe. Prabhas looked like a king in a black kurta-pyjama and blue velvet shrug, but the rebel vibe was not lost either.

On October 21, the movie team also released an advance birthday poster, in which Prabhas looked stylish in a checkered shirt, green T-shirt, black pants, and sunglasses. As India Today writes, this poster went viral on social media, with fans commenting “Swag to the max”.

About the movie: Romantic horror-comedy blast

There are reports that The Raja Saab is a romantic horror-comedy, Prabhas will play a dual role (grandson, grandfather) in it, as per Wikipedia. The story revolves around a young hero who wants to use his ancestral property to solve a financial crisis, but has to deal with a vengeful spirit there, according to a Filmfare report. The backdrop of the film is also said to be an old cinema theatre.

Director Maruthi is producing the film under the banner of People Media Factory, with Thaman S composing the music. According to The Hindu, Karthik Palani is handling the cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is editing. The cast includes stars like Nidhi Agarwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar in lead roles, Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher, Murali Sharma, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Jishu Sengupta, Brahmanandam, Yogi Babu.

The shooting of the film is almost in its final stages, with some key scenes shot at the haunted palace set in Ramoji Film City, according to a Wikipedia report. The budget is said to be Rs. 400 crores, according to the Times of India, which means a grand visual experience is guaranteed! The film will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
