Hi movie lovers, here's a big update! Good news for our Allu Arjun fans—Pushpa 2: The Rule release date has changed! The film, which was originally scheduled to release on December 6, 2024, has been brought forward by a day, which means it will hit theaters on December 5! When I saw this news with friends in Hyderabad, I was like, “Hey, we can watch Pushpa Raj Swag a day earlier!” I was so excited. Why this change, what's special about the trailer, why is this film a big deal for Telugu fans, let's tell you in a masala biryani-like article, please!
Why did the release date change?
The whole Pushpa 2: The Rule release date story is like a roller coaster ride! First, it was supposed to release in April 2024, then it went to August 15, and then December 6 was fixed. Now it has been shifted forward by a day again, to December 5. Producer Naveen Yerneni clarified the change at a press meet held in Hyderabad on October 24. “We wanted the film to have a long week box office run in America, and we have planned to premiere there from December 4. In India too, if it is released from December 5, maximum IMAX screens will be available,” he said. He also refuted the talk that December is a ‘dry month’ for Telugu films. “Movies like Akhanda and Animal broke box office records in December!” Naveen reminded.
Another interesting point—with this change, Pushpa 2 has avoided a direct clash with Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chavaa (released on December 6). Seeing the excitement of fans when Allu Arjun arrived at the midnight premiere at the Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad, it was clear that this release date change gave the fans extra excitement.
