How is the trailer?
Dune: Prophecy trailer was released on October 17, 2024 at New York Comic Con. Before that, two teaser trailers were released on May 15 and July 18, but this full trailer is the real sensation! The grand visuals of the Dune universe, the terrifying sandworms, the political games, the emotional moments – all together give the feeling of a movie. Goosebumps are guaranteed when you hear the dialogue of Emily Watson's character Valya Harkonnen in one scene, "We must seize power, shape the future of humanity!"
The trailer features the planet Arrakis, cyberpunk style labs, medieval gowns worn by women, and conspiracies in galactic politics – all of which perfectly carry the vibe of the Dune movies. By the way, the design of the terrifying sandworms seen in Denis Villeneuve's Dune movies is still here, and it feels thrilling just to see it!
What's in the story?
This series is based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. Dune: Prophecy takes place 10,000 years before the Dune movies. It tells the story of how the Bene Gesserit, a powerful women's organization, was founded. Two sisters, Valya Harkonnen (Emily Watson) and Tula Harkonnen (Olivia Williams), fight against a powerful enemy (the Reckoning / Tiran-Arafel) to save the future of humanity. The main highlights of this story are the creation of the Sisterhood as the Bene Gesserit, political games, and genetic breeding programs.
The series also touches on the origins of the Harkonnen and Atreides families, as well as the prophecy of the Qwisatz Haderak. The trailer suggests that Valya's efforts to make her organization powerful in the Imperium, as well as her personal conflicts, will give the series an emotional touch.

How is the technical touch?
