Bridgerton is coming back. Almost two years have passed since the second season of the period series produced by Shonda Rhimes landed on Netflix, breaking all records and becoming the most-watched English-language series on the platform. But now the time has come to cheer up the many fans waiting to return to deal with the juiciest gossip of Regency-era London.

Bridgerton season 3 release date

The third season of Bridgerton will be divided into two parts: the first four episodes, in fact, will be available starting from May 16th, while the remaining four will be made available from June 13th.

The announcement of the double date was released through a video that brings together the most evocative images of the previous seasons, which see the various protagonists waiting impatiently and jumping with surprise and joy at the arrival of the unexpected news. But not only that: in the editing there is also space for various social contents, coming mainly from Twitter and TikTok, in which the most passionate users of the series express their impatience at the arrival of the new episodes, some of them also putting on costumes and staging Bridgerton moments. In the meantime, however, a preview scene has also arrived which shows the romance that will focus the attention of the new season:

The plot and cast of the third season of Bridgerton

As we have known for some time now, the third season will focus on the story between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), thus distancing itself a little from the saga of Julia Quinn's books from which the entire production is based. In the meantime, Penelope will have to face the crisis of her friendship with Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), who seems to have found a new best friend, but above all, she will have to continue to carry on her alter ego: at the end of the second season we discovered that it was her the Lady Whistledown who spread, through anonymous missives, the hottest secrets of the entire city. How will she manage to keep love, friendship, and gossip together? We'll find out in a few weeks.
