During the CinemaCon event currently underway in Las Vegas, Lionsgate revealed new details and trailers for the long-awaited John Wick spin-off, Ballerina. The film, set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, is scheduled for a summer 2025 release, specifically on June 6.

Ballerina: plot and cast

The clip presented during CinemaCon offered a glimpse into the John Wick universe, with the protagonist Ballerina, played by Ana de Armas, in action. The trailer shows scenes of training, fights, and chases, giving a taste of the intensity and action in the perfect style of the franchise. The presence of familiar characters such as Charon, played by Lance Reddick, and the appearance of John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, also suggest a direct connection with the main series.

Ian McShane shared some information about Ballerina, confirming that the reshoots were done to enrich the existing action sequences. The film, directed by Len Wiseman, offers a different perspective on the world of John Wick, exploring new secondary characters. Ballerina also stars Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, and Lance Reddick, with a screenplay by Shay Hatten and production entrusted to Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski.
