A little more than a month after its debut, set for January 15th, the official trailer for True Detective: Night Country, the highly anticipated fourth season of the acclaimed HBO series, has been released. Created, written, and directed by Issa Lòpez, the new season stars Jodie Foster, Oscar winner of The Accused and The Silence of the Lambs, Kali Reis (Catch the Fair One), Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter) with Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who ) and John Hawkes (Oscar nominee for Winter's Frozen).

In the fourth season of True Detective, when the long winter night descends on Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who run the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to face their demons and the darkness to discover secrets buried and well-guarded by the ice.

Issa López is the showrunner, creator, director, and executive producer of True Detective: Night Country. Jodie Foster, in addition to being the protagonist, is also an executive producer with Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, Mark Ceryak of PASTEL, and Alan Page Arriaga. Mari Jo Winkler, Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Cary Joji Fukunaga, and Nic Pizzolatto worked as executive producers for Anonymous Content. The new season, as mentioned, will debut exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW on 15 January 2024.
